KIM VERNON

Director and Conservator

Kim graduated with a Masters in Cultural Materials Conservation from the University of Melbourne. Prior to completing his conservation studies, Kim worked in the field of Fine Art and lived in Beijing as part of an Artist’s Residency. Kim has extensive experience with artists’ materials, having worked as a Fine Art material and paint maker at Langridge Artist Colours and Fitzroy Stretchers in Melbourne. Kim worked for David Stein & Co. from 2018, serving as the Conservation Manager.

JESSICA WALSH

Conservator

Jessica has a first-class Masters in Cultural Materials Conservation specialising in easel paintings from the University of Melbourne. She has worked with several institutions and private conservation practices both nationally and internationally. These institutions include the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra, Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū in New Zealand, and the Art Gallery of Western Australia in Perth. Jessica has also worked with private conservation studios inclusive of David Stein & Co., Grimwade Conservation Services, and Art Conservation de Rigueur in San Francisco. 

ANNA DON

Conservator

Anna gained her Postgraduate Diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings at the Hamilton Kerr Institute, University of Cambridge, UK. During her studies she gained experience at the Victoria & Albert Museum and National Maritime Museum in London, as well as at a private studio in the Netherlands specialising in modern and contemporary paintings. Since qualifying, Anna was the Robert Gavron Conservation Fellow at the National Gallery, London, specialising in Old Master paintings, and she was a Visiting Research Scholar at Yale Centre for British Art, USA. Since returning to Sydney in 2021, she worked as a conservator at David Stein & Co.
